ADD-ADHD Drug Linked to Liver Damage

Straterra (or atomoxetine) has been linked to liver damage in some users.  The popular ADD-ADHD prescription drug, manufactured by Eli Lilly, is said to carry a significant risk to approximately one in every fifty thousand users.

British authorities, as well as the United State Food and Drug Administration, have issued statements warning of potential liver damage.

More research regarding Straterra and liver damage is underway.

“Itchy skin, dark urine, abdominal tenderness, jaundice and unexplained ‘flu-like’ symptoms can all be a sign of liver problems,” according to a News.Telegraph article discussing the ADHD medication and its recently announced side effects.
