Bill Would Protect Pharmaceutical Companies
A recently introduced Senate bill included protection from liability claims for vaccine producers.
Vaccines containing Thimerosal have exposed children to high levels of mercury. Many allege this exposure has caused autism, ADD and ADHD in exposed children. As a result, lawsuits seeking compensation for harmed children have been filed.
Bill S3 would protect those who used Thimerosal and other agents from liability claims. Presented as a national security bill, S3 contains language protecting pharmaceutical companies such as Merck, from ADD-ADHD-related claims.
The bill comes not long after a 1991 Merck internal memo was released showing that some involved in the vaccine programs had concerns regarding high levels of mercury exposure.
